Academic Exchange Activities Hosted by the Agricultural Engineering Program for NCHU and NPUST Students
During the past week, the Agricultural Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering and Agro-Industry, Maejo University hosted a series of academic and practical learning activities for exchange students from National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. These activities were designed to enhance international academic collaboration and provide students with hands-on experiences in modern agricultural technologies.
?? Drone Training for Precision Agriculture
Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Choatpong Kanjanaphachoat, students learned how to plan flight paths, operate drones, and analyze aerial data for use in smart farming applications.
?? Closed Cultivation Systems and Vertical Farming
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siriwat Sakonwasie provided an in-depth lecture and facilitated a lab visit to the vegetable research unit, helping students gain insights into innovative plant production systems for future research development.
?? Smart Aquaculture Center Visit
Mr. Prasert Prasongphon from the Faculty of Fisheries Technology and Aquatic Resources led a session at the Commercial Smart Aquaculture Center, where students explored technologies used in modern aquatic farming.
?? Dairy and Beef Farm Management
Asst. Prof. Dr. Thonglian Buajoom and Dr. Kannika Hamprakhon from the Faculty of Animal Science introduced students to advanced technologies in livestock farm management through a field visit to dairy and beef operations.
These meaningful activities provided students with valuable knowledge and cultural exchange experiences, strengthening academic ties between Taiwan and Thailand.
